Total Internal Reflection
Light trapped inside glass fibers powers global internet with perfect internal reflections

Why does total internal reflection only occur when light travels from a denser to a less dense medium at a sufficiently oblique angle?
Because the light speed is lower in the second medium, causing the light to slow down and reflect back.
Because light always reflects completely at any boundary regardless of angle or medium properties.
Because the light speed is higher in the second medium, causing the refracted ray to bend away from the normal until it cannot pass through and is fully reflected.
